The Vatican Museums Collection of Contemporary Art is enriched by a new work: In the beginning (and then), an interactive video installation in four parts designed and realised in 2013 by the historic Milan group Studio Azzurro, which has always guided its research towards a socialising use of interactivity. The inauguration on 28 September of the permanent installation of the work – better defined as a "sensitive environment" – in the heart of the itinerary through the Museums, is certainly also a symbolic event that recalls the equally significant first participation of the Holy See in the Venice International Biennale Art Exhibition 2013, where Studio Azzurro, with In the beginning (and then), gave tangible form to the founding moment of the biblical narrative of the Creation of the universe and of man.
